Welcome to the Spoonie Uni!
Hello this is Ren from the Spoonie Uni Project! This space is by and for disabled folks. This was originally just going to be a podcast about critical disability justice, socialism and anarchism, and ableism within academia but we've decided to expand it. We want to make this a space to share resources and also start mutual aid efforts specifically for QTGNCBIPOC disabled folks who are learners, students, and/ or educators. Ableism is even more present in academia and for the most marginalized folks navigating multiple systems of oppression at a time is difficult, and we wanted to see what we could do about it. We want to make this a space for resources, support, and mutual aid efforts that rely on our communities. We may be inactive at times. We may only upload here and there but we want to preserve our energy, or spoons, to give our communities the best we can. This is a long-term effort that will go by what we are all able to give one day at a time. We are just getting started. Folks can join or help out our efforts please just communicate with us through DM's or email! Currently we have 3 members in this project but we hope to add more folks later on!
